Virginia Concerns of Police Survivors

The Virginia Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors is committed to reaching out and providing support to all survivors of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, as determined by PSOB. Originally chartered as Central Virginia C.O.P.S. in 2005, the chapter provides peer support to survivors across the state. We also provide support to the agencies of Virginia and reach out to them in the event of a line of duty death.

Virginia C.O.P.S. is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity that survives solely on donations of citizens and businesses.  We are always looking for support. All of our board members are survivors:  parents, spouses, adult children, siblings, co-workers, and others.  We  volunteer our time, so 100% of your donations go to providing resources to our survivors, sending survivors to Hands-On-Retreats, and training our law enforcement community.

Our Mission

Rebuilding shattered lives of family survivors and co-workers affected by line of duty deaths

Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they will be called children of God.

— Matthew 5:9
